About

Hi, I’m Elly. Welcome to my little corner of the internet.

I am a busy mom of two boys Connor and Logan (3 and almost 5), married to my best friend, living in fabulous Las Vegas. There is a few things you should know about me. My life revolves around coffee, I mean my children. But yes also a LOT of caffeine. I genuinely love food. Nothing makes me happier than a perfectly glazed donut. Sorry husband. I am obsessed with traveling and just like Moana, the sea calls me.

I used to blog years ago but then life happened, children happened and I took a long break. But now finally I feel like I’m at the point in motherhood where I can finally breathe and start blogging again. So here I am back and I’d like to think better than ever!

On this blog you can expect to find mom rants, tried and true recipes and sharing our adventures around the world.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me @ ellyvegas1@gmail.com

All of the recipes that you will find here are either my own or from one of my favorite cookbooks, magazines, or other food blogs.

Thanks for reading,

Elly

  6. Hi Elly, thanks for stopping by Midlifedreaming. I hope you’ll try my Swedish pea soup, it’s not chocolate, but it’s really good! I might just have to try your Bailey’s cookies, they sound yummy!

  7. What a fun blog! I love that you call your hubby Mr. Picky! Mine’s the same way. He won’t eat fish, unless it has a cream sauce, won’t eat soup, unless it’s cream of something, won’t eat salad even! BUT he has just discovered JUICING vegetables and loves it! So every two days we’re juicing spinach, cucumber, carrot, celery and parsley. After we toast, he says, “I just ate three spinach salads. YESSSS.” Give it a try!

  18. I’ve recently switched my food blog over to be self-hosted which I hope will make it more user-friendly in the future. As a result, if you were following Can’t Stay Out of the Kitchen via email, WordPress, or using RSS feeds through Google Reader or some other way, you are no longer subscribed. If you wish to continue receiving future posts from my blog you will need to re-subscribe. Sorry for the inconvenience, Teresa.
