This easy chicken bacon and cream cheese skillet meal is the perfect weeknight dinner! You only need 1 pan, 5 ingredients and 15 minutes to make this amazing chicken dish.
Slice chicken breasts in half to create 4 thin chicken pieces.
Season chicken with ranch seasoning
Add 1 tsp of olive oil or bacon grease to a large skillet over medium high heat.
Pan fry chicken until golden brown on both sides and almost cooked through. About 3 mins per side.
Top each chicken breast with sliced cream cheese, cooked bacon and shredded cheese. Cover with a lid and turn the heat down to medium low and cook until cheese is melted and chicken is cooked through about 5 mins.
Serve immediately.
Notes
In this recipe you need already cooked bacon! I always make a big batch of bacon in the oven to have on hand since we are big bacon lovers. But if you don't have any precooked bacon on hand you can cook your bacon in the skillet first before preparing the chicken. Then just drain most of the fat leaving about a tsp in and cook your chicken in that! Soo much flavor.I typically use shredded cheddar or Colby jack cheese in this. Monterey jack or pepper jack will also be delicious!I keep leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days. Then microwave to reheat.
